I sometimes feel ambitious ;)
So today I wrote out next week's schedule for Micaela and Nathaniel which can be viewed here. What do you think? Micaela is in first and Nathaniel is doing K4 (he'll do K5 next year). I love these charts because I can fill them out the week before, and the kids and I both love making sure we get it all done. Each day they choose a different color highlighter to highlight their assignments, and by the end of the week every square (with writing) should be colored. Using the highlighter is a motivating privilege!
Also, I changed my email again- MWAH HA HA HAAA :) I now have a fairly anonymous email address which I'm very happy about.
This week we're beginning to study Rome, the life of Christ, and the early church. I'm excited!

Um, Becky, WOW. I am so impressed. I love what you are teaching! The vocab...the geography...wow! Not your average grade school stuff :) I wish I felt capable working with unit studies. I am such a workbook oriented person I'm nervous to break out and really get creative.
Actually, Tapestry of Grace outlines EVERYTHING for you. They provide worksheets, writing instructions, maps, book lists, teacher's notes and MORE. I wish you could see mine. I'm sure you'd love it!
Have you ever heard of the Developing Number Concepts books by Kathy Richardson? I have been using them with Autumn and love all the variety of ways they have to reinforce counting and number sense. I don't know if your library has them, but if they do, it seems like they would be right up your alley =) And yes, I agree with Alison-- you are so well planned, I admire you greatly!
As their Grandfather I want to know where "recess" fits into this schedule?
